Terms of Service
The agreement covering accounts, subscriptions, and acceptable use of Homeschul.
Last updated: 15 August 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
These terms are a contract between you and Homeschul (homeschul.com) covering your use of the app. By creating an account or using Homeschul, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service. See also our Privacy Policy and Children’s Data & Privacy Notice, both incorporated into this agreement by reference.
2. Who can use Homeschul
Homeschul is built for parents and legal guardians, 18 or older, to plan and track their own child’s home education. By adding a student profile, you confirm you’re that child’s parent or legal guardian and are entering their information with proper authority to do so. Homeschul is not directed at children, and children don’t create their own accounts or provide their own information.
3. Your account
Keep your login credentials confidential — you’re responsible for activity that happens under your account. Give us accurate information when you sign up, and let us know if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
4. Free trial, subscriptions & billing
- New accounts get a 15-day free trial with full access — no card required to start.
- After the trial, continued access needs a paid subscription: £20/month for up to 2 children, plus £7.50/month per additional child.
- Subscriptions bill monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled.
- Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
- Cancel any time from Manage billing in your account settings (or by contacting us) — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and we don’t offer refunds for the unused portion of a period except where the law requires it.
- We may change our pricing going forward; we’ll give existing subscribers notice before a change takes effect on their account.
5. Acceptable use
Please don’t use Homeschul to:
- Break the law, or infringe anyone else’s rights.
- Try to access another family’s account or data, or probe/bypass the service’s security.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the service.
- Upload or generate content that’s unlawful, abusive, or unrelated to education.
- Interfere with the service’s normal operation, including via excessive automated requests.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
6. Your content
You own the lesson plans, notes, and records you and your family create in Homeschul. You give us the limited right to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you — for example, generating a lesson pack from a topic you enter, or backing your workspace up to your account if you turn on cross-device sync. We don’t use your content to train AI models, and we don’t sell it.
7. AI-generated content
Lesson packs, quizzes, worksheets, and Beamy’s chat responses are generated by AI from the topic you provide. AI-generated content can occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or age-inappropriate — we filter and review what we can, but you should check content before relying on it or presenting it to your child. Homeschul isn’t a substitute for professional educational, medical, or psychological advice.
If you ever see AI-generated content that’s inappropriate, please report it to us immediately at the email below so we can investigate and improve our safeguards.
8. Your responsibility for homeschool compliance
Homeschul is a planning and record-keeping tool. It doesn’t guarantee compliance with your local, state, or national home-education laws and reporting requirements — you remain responsible for meeting whatever legal obligations apply to homeschooling in your jurisdiction.
9. Intellectual property
The Homeschul name, logo, and the app itself (excluding your own content) belong to us or our licensors. Using the service doesn’t give you any ownership over them.
10. Termination
You can stop using Homeschul and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, or that we’re required to act on by law. On termination, your access ends and we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Homeschul is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be excluded under applicable law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we’ll update the “last updated” date above and, where the change is significant, let you know directly. Continuing to use Homeschul after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. This doesn’t take away any consumer protection you’re entitled to under the mandatory laws of the country you live in.
